Axis deer antler shed crown choker

$99.00

From Marshall’s workbench.

Here on Molokai we are lucky to be surrounded by hundreds of Axis deer who shed their antler every year for us to find. In 1868 axis deer were introduced to the island of Molokai as a gift from Hong Kong to King Kamehameha V. They are native to India and Sri Lanka.

This is the crown of an antler shed. The lacing is hand braided artifical sinew and the toggle clasp is an antler tip. The antler crown measures 1 1/2 inch. This necklace measures 15 1/2 inches. I have a 14 inch neck and it sits perfectly at the base of my neck.
