Axis deer antler shed laced bracelet
$165.00 / Sold Out
From Marshall’s workbench.
Here on Molokai we are lucky to be surrounded by hundreds of Axis deer who shed their antler every year for us to find. In 1868 axis deer were introduced to the island of Molokai as a gift from Hong Kong to King Kamehameha V. They are native to India and Sri Lanka.
Each slice of antler has been meticulously hand sanded and shaped. They are laced with hand braided artificial sinew and have an antler tip clasp. This bracelet measures 8 inches on my bracelet mandrel. Each bead measures approximately 1 1/4 by 1 inch and is 3/16 inch thick.
