Beach tumbled kukui nut woven sinew bracelet

To the ancient Hawaiians kukui nuts were used for light, navigation, medicine, divination, and many other purposes. The kukui represents spirit revealing itself, enlightenment.

This bracelet is made from beach tumbled kukui nut shell. The hand shaped kukui beads measure approximately 3/4 inch. This one is a size 6 1/2 on my bracelet mandrel. It is woven together with hand braided artificial sinew and has a kukui clasp.

This design is very popular in my shop. It is very time consuming to make. I currently have a three week waiting list for custom sizes.
